Elkhan Nasibov

Elkhan Nasibov is the Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO of Guavapay Limited. With an extensive background in banking, Elkhan is now focused on compliance and regulation. He began his banking career at the age of 19, working for one of Europe’s largest banks. Over the years, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience across various aspects of banking, including business development, product development, operations, and regulatory compliance. While deeply focused on compliance and regulation, Elkhan has also played a pivotal role in building Guavapay’s foundation from the ground up. His leadership has been instrumental in the company’s growth, transforming it from a team of just 5 employees into a global organization with more than 500 experts and professionals in IT, finance, and banking. 
Elkhan is a member of The Payments Leaders Group at The Payments Association and has served as a judge on the Pay360 Awards panel for three consecutive years (2023 – 2025). In 2024, he was shortlisted as the Compliance Leader of the Year by the International Compliance Association (ICA). Additionally, Elkhan is the recipient of the prestigious Freedom of the City of London
