Darren Deal is Senior Vice President, responsible for business development and account management across the Fintech, Digital Partnerships and Government UKI businesses. Darren has over 30 years’ experience in the payments industry having spent a decade at processor First Data (now FiServ); 2 years at the Co-operative Bank managing the Visa portfolio and the past 22 years at Mastercard.
During Darren’s time at Mastercard he has held various positions: previously heading Mastercard’s relationship with the NatWest Group and was responsible for overseeing the Visa to Mastercard migration. Prior to that role, Darren managed a diverse set of UK issuing customers and also lead Mastercard’s prepaid/Fintech business in the UK, successfully delivering a commanding market share position.
During his time at Mastercard, Darren has held roles in Technology Account Management, providing operational and technical support to banks such as Barclays, HBOS, Lloyds, Danske and Bank of Ireland and that of Supplier Manager managing European card and chip manufacturing relationships.
Darren has a proven track record in driving results. Commercially minded with strong client relationship focus and a strong understanding and knowledge of the industry.
